In your opinion, what band/muscial artist is making the most meaningful music today? Please explain or quote lyrics that you believe are truly important and meaningful. Then, please explain why you feel that these words are important and moving.
i think guns and roses is the band that had the most meaningful lyrics because they're lyrics really touch people like knocking on heavens door because the lyrics were really meaningful and it taught people to think about the people they care about and not to use guns for violence
Well, out of the many genres I'm in to. A few bands stick out to me. One band is Nurses. Where they showed their obscurity through words, and with their forcefulness, enveloped by ghostly vocal patterns, and making their points come across through riddles, and metaphors. Another I really enjoy lyricly is Bright Eyes, where always a story is told, which always paints a vivd picture for you, its something nice to listen to from time to time when you're in a thinking mood. And a pick-me up, that I refer to is Francois Virot, because he introduces synonyms and personification, which makes you really enjoy the things around you. Honestly, I'm trying to limit myself here, but, if you'd like bands with great lyrics, I'll list them by demand. Let me know what kind of music you like, I'll let you know.
Um. . .big d, the song "Knocking on Heavenn's Door" was written by Bob Dylan, not Guns-n-Roses. It would also be interesting if students posted the lyrics so that we could all read them--sort of like poetry.
